também se podia chamar “fake it ‘till you make it” que é o mais verdadeiro…
já não era sem tempo, 2023, 180x100cm, pastel de óleo s/papel
misto entre isto tudo:
da vergonha, nojo e culpa para assunção e confiança, passando pelo ridículo e fingindo orgulho (“fake it ‘till you make it”)
A sorte que os elefantes têm!

“The body positivity message (…) we are always doing it: with a little bit of sass, a lot of confidence, a lot of love for these women and, you know, we just want everybody to forget that they are plus size women, we just want them to think of them as women.”

tirado do documentário “Straight/Curve” de 2017
já não era sem tempo, 2023, 9(100x70cm/70x100cm), tinta-da-china e acrílico s/cartolina couché
(sai tudo desproporcionado e errado…!)
o papel couché pede aparo mas o tamanho torna-o quase impossível (para mim) e por isso ainda foi mais frustrante! Isto e ter que desenhar aquilo… Pénible!
“Artists: Never negotiate with the terrorists in your head that say you’re no good, aren’t smart, educated & skilled enough to do something. They only have fear, belligerence & certitude. You have faith, need, obsession & delusion. You move on; the terrorists stay the boring same.”
